GIFT Young Computer Professionals Society (YCPS) organized a thought-provoking session on the topic of “Personality Types & Careers” . The inspiring session was conducted by Mr. Zain Ul Abideen, Deputy Manager Industry Linkages, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS).
At the beginning of the session, the speaker shared the importance of knowing your personality type along with the flare of explaining the four dimensions of types and helped students to understand their personality type by performing MBTI personality tests. Since the root of personality development is self-awareness, everyone must understand their personality type and learn how they can be successful in their career by capitalizing their strengths and overcoming their weaknesses.
Later, the speaker shed some light on the available career opportunities for fresh graduates and expectations of employers from them. Right use of social media was also discussed. Students were encouraged to create their LinkedIn profile and shared some tips for an effective LinkedIn profile.
By the end of the session, the students were highly charged and appreciated the efforts of YCPS for organizing the session and a huge round of applause was given by the audience. Distinguished guest Dr. Muhammad Ziad Nayyer, (DEAN, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences SEAS) presented the souvenir to the guest speaker as a token of appreciation.
